I participated in the Backjumps Junior Issue, in August 2010, curated by my friend Adrian Nabi; giving me a chance to focus on themes that younger children could relate to. I did some pencil, charcoal and pastel on paper drawings for the exhibition, while also mixing the it up with some works on paper from my daughter who was three at the time…
This show happened at a time when the gentrification of Berlin begun to be felt by the general public. Along with the European directive, whereby residential buildings are being covered with polystyrene blocks, in order to insulate them, Berlin is losing a lot of its façades, making each building stand out from another. That’s why I take photos of the old buildings before all disappear, and there are two double-pages of them in my small book Never Too Late… Please contact Lazinc for enquiries…
